Fantasy

Working all day, just the same routine.
And as the hundredth goes in, I start to dream.
Of a fantasy land with Pirates, Dragons and Rock and Roll bands.

Well the sun rises, and the world awakes.
It’s ray glistens on the rivers and the lakes.
A new day has begun.
In the distance hear the drums.
They beat the beat of good morning,
To a fantasy land of Pirates, Dragons and Rock and Roll bands.

Lunch is on the table.
It’s just gone noon.
We’ll all be in soon.
The sun is ablaze up in the sky
And an eagle soars, flying oh so high.
It’s feeding time for the birds as well.
Two chicks standing amidst broken shells.
And as their mother takes her place,
Sitting by her babes in her nest,
A tiny rock dislodges and falls from the cliff face.

It lands beside the dragon, just a peep.
But loud enough to wake him from sleep.
His eyes open in anger,
Suddenly the world is in great danger.
It leaps from the ground
In just one bound.
Its’ wings break many a cloud.
And each time its’ mouth would open
A terrible screech would sound.

It’s only been an hour
Since the Dragon found the town,
And nothing is left.
Not even a flower.

The forest glows as bright as day
In this autumn night.
The Dragon stole life away
And brought death through his might.

But all is saved.
A seed is by the riverbed.
Oh so young and brave,
Growing green through fires red.

A fresh start has begun.
It’s morning now.
Welcome the sun.
