The Story Of A Ghost

Did you hear something in the distance?
Are you sure it was just your mind?
Maybe Heaven offered some resistance,
And Hell said, “No.” this time?

Now he walks all alone.
His body rests under some stone.
Just a figment of our imagination,
Forever cursed in spiritual damnation.

He never committed a crime,
Though his soul was full of sin.
He was caught in the crossfire.
Taken out on a killers’ whim.

It all happened so fast.
His life now buried in the past.
In the blink of an eye,
He was sentenced to die.

He fought with God in his physical state.
But forgiveness was asked for far too late.
Now he must walk the never-ending road,
Repent his sins,
And give himself up to all that is hallowed.

The story of a ghost.
